About Us

GALEC, the Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Chaplains, is an organization of Law Enforcement Chaplains who serve and support the Law Enforcement communities of the State of Georgia.

We are men and women, ordained ministers in our respective faiths, who serve our various law enforcement communities around the State, and who give of our energies, time, and talents for GALEC and the efforts of the State's law enforcement initiatives.

GALEC, in association with the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, provides training and support for those individuals who seek to develop and maintain Chaplaincy programs for their respective municipalities. The training is both P.O.S.T. mandate chaplains training, which provides the basic classes necessary for State Chaplains Certification, and advanced training, which delivers courses designed to give the Chaplains information that will assist them in operating their Chaplains Programs in a more knowledgeable and efficient manor.
